Description: One of our most abundant birds. O little larger than a sparrow. Late winter echoes his typical "ci-ci-ci-tion." It inhabits open landscape with shrubs and groups of trees, forest edges, etc.. Building a nest on the ground or near the ground in the grass and bushes. They feed on seeds, berries and insects. The winter clustered near human dwellings.
